Riccia-Kugeln wirken fantastisch. Man muss sich aber darum bemühen:
Man nimmt ein dichtes schwimmendes Riccia-Polster und befestigt es mit einem feinen Haarnetz oder mit Angelschnur vorsichtig auf einem Lavastein. Das Riccia-Moos wächst rasch durch das Haarnetz hindurch. Wenn nach 4-6 Wochen das Riccia-Moos vollständig durchgewachsen ist, sich löst und aufschwimmt, macht man die Riccia-Kugeln neu.
